6h. Locating periodicals
PreviousNext

Where are the actual periodicals?

On the Old Dominion University campus, Perry Library and Hofheimer Art Library both have collections of print (hard copy) periodicals.

In Perry Library, nearly all the current issues, bound volumes for past years, and microfilm or microfiche versions of periodicals are on the 2nd floor.

Most newer articles may be found online -- some within databases and some as separate journal subscriptions. The library provides access to many thousands of periodical subscriptions online through our Web site.

On the ODU Libraries Web page, you can easily see which periodicals the library provides as online subscriptions. Just click on Find Journals & Newspapers . Type the title of the periodical you are looking for. If we own the physical copy in the library, a link to Old Dominion University Print Holdings will provide you with call number, location, etc. If you see other links--such as Elsevier, Education Full Text, Jstor, SAGE JOURNALS Online, etc.--you may click on any of them to get the article electronically.
